So, I took Sophia yesterday to get her belly button pierced. I decided to take pictures to document this rather odd yet somewhat momentous occasion. Odd because I said yes (to both of my older daughters) and momentous because I finally had time to take her. Mel is marking her belly here
Ready, pinch....
Sophia looks a tad nervous, don't ya think?
My neck was getting tense...
Ewwwwwww.....that just looks bad! Why in the world she would WANT to do this I really don't understand.
Her dad hates needles----he would have been passed out cold on the floor watching this! No lie! I am sure when his family reads this they will show him just to see his reaction.
Is this a happy face?
waiting to put the belly jewel in.....
yes, it was a happy face!
By the way...if you are local and looking to get a piercing....Body Piercing by Tracy in Oceanside is "Doctors office Sterile" with an amazing staff.
aw! the smile is classic! totally a "omg, i did it and its over!" moment!
as a certified piercer i would like to offer a little unsolicited advice, be sure to keep it clean! i recommend dr.bronner's liquid soap (i use the sensitive/baby mostly because of the lack of scent). for a belly button once a day or if she's super active, twice unless the soap is drying the skin out.
AND as someone who has "had some work done" whilst living in san diego, i have had great experiences at 454studio in encinitas right next to lou's record store. i miss lou's.
happy weekend marah! i'm going to go see what mort does tonight. will return with any stories of entertainment.

I had to be held down to have my ears pierced. I was fine till they bought that gun thing out... can't decide if Sophia is brave or bonkers! *g*
My partner would be the same. Out cold.

I'll keep that in mind when I want to re-color my tatts. Oceanside is a lot closer than San Diego where I got both of them done 10 years ago.
